Bridges: how have you been crossing them lately?

“The bridge gathers to itself in its own way earth and sky, divinities and mortals” ~ Martin Heidegger
I felt so inspired by the background picture on the wall of a client’s room one day... Besides being a perfect image for his process – the bridge in the mist – we engaged in a good conversation about it. The bridge is so much a space of interconnection – like the one we inhabited in the session – that the image stayed with me and the next morning I woke up with profound reflections and insights. We are bridges ourselves, I would say.
Here's to going with the flow and being comfortable figuring things out along the way. Consciously and lovingly.
Sometimes there is so much unknown on the other side that we keep ourselves from going forward. Except one day suddenly you realize you are already almost there – on the other side of something new, something different, so inspiring and so true to you.
Can you hold the crossing over gently and with compassion? Can you see how far you have gone? Do you realize this is what life is really all about?
The bridge is where things evolve. That is where things happen, where you meet other people, who may be crossing in the opposite direction, and in the same direction as you… The crossing is actually the beginning of the other side. When we set ourselves on the way, as much as misty and unclear it is, the way appears at each of your steps. So there is no need to worry or fear uncertainty. Uncertainty is part of the way. It is what gives the crossing taste and meaning.

To cross a bridge is to be in the moment. It is to enjoy the journey and learn from it, with it, in that space. It is a liminal space and it can also be a nourishing space, depending on your relationship to it. That space is a field of interconnection in which gifting occurs through the path, both ways. You both feed and water those you meet, and you're nourished with and from them too. A bridge goes two ways.
As you start to walk on the way, the way appears ~ Rumi
What is the meaning of a bridge for you? Can you trust the path?
I learned that when we set an intention that's pure and grounded on love, we can walk even on water. Don't we dare lose faith.
